Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Operator to join our dynamic logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently managing warehouse distribution tasks, including order picking, loading and unloading shipments, and operating heavy equipment such as forklifts. Your expertise will ensure smooth warehouse operations, accurate materials handling, and adherence to safety standards. The ideal candidate will bring solid warehouse experience, mechanical knowledge, and a proactive approach to maintaining a safe and organized environment that supports our company's operational excellence. Responsibilities Operate heavy equipment including forklifts and pallet jacks to load, unload, and transport materials safely within the warehouse. Perform order picking using RF scanners and pick systems to fulfill customer orders accurately and efficiently. Manage shipping and receiving processes, ensuring proper documentation and timely dispatch of goods. Handle materials with care during heavy lifting tasks while adhering to OSHA safety regulations. Maintain inventory accuracy through regular stock counts and updates within the warehouse management system. Support warehouse supervision by assisting with stock organization, space optimization, and equipment maintenance. Collaborate with team members on load & unload activities and ensure compliance with safety protocols for heavy equipment operation. Conduct routine mechanical checks on equipment such as forklifts to prevent malfunctions. Assist in construction-related tasks when required, utilizing mechanical knowledge for repairs or setup. Contribute to continuous process improvements in materials handling and warehouse operations. Experience Proven warehouse distribution experience with a strong understanding of order picking, shipping & receiving procedures, and materials handling. Prior experience operating heavy equipment including forklifts and pallet jacks. Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to warehouse operations and heavy equipment use. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory control and order processing. Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic maintenance or troubleshooting on warehouse machinery. Experience in construction or related fields is advantageous but not mandatory. Previous supervisory experience as a warehouse supervisor or team lead is preferred but not essential. Pay:
$19.50 per hour
