Quanta Nashville (QMN) was established in 2003 in LaVergne, TN, with 20 employees in one building. QMN currently occupies nine (9) facilities in the Antioch/LaVergne area with over 3000 employees...and GROWING! We are currently seeking candidates for the following position! Perform forklift operating and production support functions. Meet the daily production support requirements deadline by efficiently transferring and compiling parts. Complete stocking functions and update systems. Schedule movements both internal to facility and for shipping / receiving.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for reading, understanding and following work instructions pertaining to the tasks of picking, transacting, cycle count and inventory. Perform in a cross-functional environment, coordinating with other departments such Quality, Warehouse, and Materials. Pick and prepare parts in an efficient manner, meeting internal incremental deadlines. Build and pack out shipments, assuring proper labeling and documentation. Communicate professionally via email with Program Manager, Department Manager, Supervisor and customer contacts regarding the status of parts and shipments. Coordinate with offsite personnel for cycle count and inventory as necessary. Actively seek ways to improve processes. Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Other duties as assigned by management
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Forklift Certification Prior experience in a warehouse or shipping environment.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Computer literate in a Windows Environment; Outlook, Excel. Basic math skills. Accurate counting skills. Legible handwriting. Good written and verbal communication skills. Detail oriented. Flexible; able to change direction with short notice. Able to perform repetitive motion with hands and arms. Able to quickly resolve or escalate problems that arise. Effective communicator in the English language, both orally and written, as the position requires email communication.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds. Able to stand, stoop and bend. Ability to walk and stand on cement floors for long periods. Ability to operate a pallet jack.
