JOB SUMMARY
DuraPlas, Inc. is seeking a reliable and experienced Material Handler with propane forklift experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment to join our growing team. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move finished goods, raw materials, and supplies between storage, staging, and production areas Read and interpret customer orders, ensuring accurate picking, staging, and movement of inventory to support production and shipping Perform daily inventory updates and cycle counts to ensure accurate stock levels and timely reporting of discrepancies Collaborate with shipping, drill line personnel, bandsaw operators, inventory specialists, procurement, and manufacturing teams to meet production and distribution requirements Assist in the organization and maintenance of warehouse and storage facilities by implementing 5S principles and Lean practices Load and unload shipments, ensuring the safe handling and storage of materials Follow all safety protocols, use required personal protective equipment (PPE), and report safety hazards promptly Perform additional duties as assigned to support operational efficiency.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
High School Diploma or GED, required Minimum of 4 years of warehouse experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment Ability to lift at least 50 lbs, required Availability to work 8-10 hours daily, based on requirements Forklift certification or equivalent experience operating material handling equipment. Familiarity with inventory management systems and ability to complete cycle counts Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across multiple departments Problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy in inventory handling Adaptability and ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Understanding of Lean manufacturing techniques, 5S, and Kaizen principles Basic mathematical skills and ability to read and interpret customer orders and production schedules Bilingual skills in Spanish are a plus Work Environment Manufacturing plant environment ( not climate controlled ) Exposure to noise, dust, fumes, and odors Frequent standing, walking, and lifting throughout the shift Fast-paced production with occasional unscheduled interruptions Why Join Us?
