JOB SUMMARY
DuraPlas, Inc. is seeking an experienced and dependable Material Handler with forklift experience or a background in warehouse or manufacturing environments to join our growing team. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move raw materials, finished goods, and supplies throughout the facility Read and interpret work orders to accurately pick, stage, and transport materials to support production and shipping needs Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments while ensuring safe handling and proper storage of materials Perform routine inventory checks and cycle counts to maintain accurate stock levels and report discrepancies Coordinate with production, shipping, and warehouse teams to ensure timely movement of materials and avoid downtime Organize and maintain warehouse and storage areas following 5S and Lean principles Inspect materials for damage or defects and ensure proper labeling and documentation Monitor inventory levels and communicate shortages or issues to appropriate teams Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times Follow all plant standard operating procedures and safety guidelines Must use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required based on the needs of the position
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
Minimum of 4 years of related work experience, preferably in manufacturing, warehousing, or distribution environments High School Diploma or GED, required Forklift experience required ; certification preferred Ability to lift up to 55 lbs, required Availability to work Monday-Friday schedule with flexibility to work weekends based on business needs Strong attention to detail with a focus on inventory accuracy and safe material handling Ability to read and interpret work orders and shipping documents accurately Basic math skills for counting, inventory tracking, and cycle counts Solid teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to work in a fast-paced, non-climate controlled environment Bilingual (English/Spanish), highly desired Work Environment Manufacturing plant environment ( not climate controlled ) Exposure to noise, dust, fumes, and odors Frequent standing, walking, and lifting throughout the shift Fast-paced production with occasional unscheduled interruptions Why Join Us?
