Job Description
Apply Description Key Duties/Responsibilities The Security Guard will man a guard station and control access to the facility. Monitors activity around the plant entrance; reports suspicious activities to local authorities Monitors surveillance cameras, inspects property, and monitors crowds Contacts law enforcement or fire department in case of an emergency Checks inbound/outbound trucks in/out Monitors temperatures of reefer trailers in the yard Check reefer trailer fuel levels and refill as needed Monitors and controls visitors to the plant May be asked to Investigate reports of suspicious activity on the property Performs other related duties as assigned Requirements Required Skills/Abilities Excellent observational skills and attention to detail Basic computer skills are required Authoritative verbal communication skills Ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations Ability to learn the layout of the property and buildings Ability to obtain security certification Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent preferred Previous experience a plus, but not required Physical Requirements Ability to patrol the property and access areas quickly.
