Material Handler Coast Personnel - 3.5 Austin, TX Job Details Full-time $37,440 - $45,000 a year 17 hours ago Qualifications Customer communication Interpersonal skills Employee relationship building High school diploma or GED Driver's License Organizational skills Warehouse experience Materials handling Stakeholder relationship building Full Job Description Job Description 1st Shift 6am-2:30pm Essential Functions and Duties Receive all materials from vendors, verifying pallet and case counts and ensuring items are free from damage before signing delivery documents. Audit received materials against packing slips to confirm quantities match vendor documentation. Enter and receive materials into the system against the appropriate purchase order once the audit is complete. Check the system for any work order shortages and allocate materials as needed. Stage materials that require Receiving Inspection in the designated QA area. Stock materials not immediately needed for inspection or work orders in their designated storage locations, creating new locations when necessary. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Assist other departments as needed. Perform additional duties as assigned. Lift heavy items and operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts. Operate basic hand tools such as drills, circular saws, and sealers. Education and Experience High School Diploma or equivalent required. 0-2 years of related material handling or warehouse experience preferred. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required. Skills and Qualifications Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain professional working relationships with builders, vendors, supervisors, and co-workers. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to proactively identify, analyze, and resolve problems, conflicts, and operational issues with sound decision-making. Strong organizational skills with the ability to maintain accurate tracking systems for ordering and production processes. Working knowledge of internet applications, inventory systems, project management tools, spreadsheets, word processing software, and order-processing systems. Physical Demands Work is performed in a warehouse environment with moving PITs. Required to stand, walk, sit and use stair ladders; talk and hear in person; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms. Regularly required to stoop, kneel, bend, and crouch. May need to exert up to 50pounds of force to lift, carry, push and pull or otherwise move objects. Specific vision abilities required bythis job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.
