Full Job Description Position Summary:
The General Warehouse Team Member plays a critical role in supporting installation teams at JRV Home Services by ensuring all materials required for residential HVAC installations are accurately and precisely pulled, verified, and staged for delivery. This position is responsible for maintaining an organized warehouse, supporting inventory control, and preparing complete material packages for new construction HVAC installations. Accuracy and attention to detail when pulling materials is a critical component of this role, as installation crews depend on complete and correct job packages to perform efficiently in the field . Performance Expectations Accuracy and completeness of pulled materials is a primary performance metric for this role. This position is responsible for maintaining an organized warehouse, supporting inventory control, and preparing complete material packages for new construction HVAC installations. Accuracy and attention to detail when pulling materials is a critical component of this role, as installation crews depend on complete and correct job packages to perform efficiently in the field. Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Material Pulling & Job Preparation Pull and stage all materials required for new construction HVAC installations, based on job work orders and material lists. Ensure all pulled materials are accurate, complete, and organized for each job before staging. Carefully verify that all required parts, fittings, duct materials, fasteners, and accessories are included. Double-check all staged materials to ensure precision and completeness, minimizing jobsite delays or return trips. Organize and stage materials by job number, builder, or address to ensure smooth loading and delivery. Communicate immediately with warehouse leadership if there are missing materials, discrepancies, or unclear job requirements. Inventory Awareness & Communication Monitor material stock levels during daily warehouse operations. Notify warehouse leadership when inventory levels appear low or when restocking may be needed. Assist with inventory counts and stock replenishment. Report damaged, defective, or missing inventory. Warehouse Operations Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment. Receive, unload, and properly store incoming inventory. Label and organize materials in designated warehouse locations to maintain efficiency and accessibility. Loading & Logistics Support Assist with loading and/or issuing subcontractor with staged materials for job completion. Ensure materials are properly organized and secured for transport. Support delivery drivers or field crews when needed. General Warehouse Support
- Follow all company safety procedures and warehouse protocols.
- Assist with general warehouse tasks including stocking, organizing materials, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting overall warehouse operations.
- Follow company guidelines regarding scheduled break times and lunch periods , ensuring breaks are taken appropriately and work responsibilities are maintained.
- Maintain focus during working hours by limiting personal cell phone use to designated break times , unless required for work-related communication.
- Demonstrate a strong work ethic by remaining productive and engaged throughout the workday , assisting with warehouse tasks whenever primary responsibilities are complete.
- Warehouse team members are expected to take initiative and actively look for ways to contribute to warehouse organization, efficiency, and job readiness at all times.
- Idle time should be used to organize inventory, prepare upcoming jobs, restock commonly used materials, clean and maintain warehouse areas, or assist other team members.
- Support fellow warehouse team members to maintain efficient daily operations.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Prior warehouse, construction supply, or HVAC industry experience preferred but not required. Ability to lift and carry 50+ pounds regularly . Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods. Basic understanding of tools, materials, and construction environments. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy . Ability to follow written work orders and material lists. Reading Skills. Dependable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong communication skills to report inventory issues or job material discrepancies.
