Role:
The company is seeking a Material Handler to join our manufacturing team in Baytown, TX. This role involves safely handling materials, operating industrial forklifts, and supporting production operations in a forward-thinking manufacturing environment. What You'll Do Safely handle, move, and stage materials throughout the facility. Operate and maintain an industrial forklift truck (10k capacity) certification required. Read and interpret bills of materials and differentiate between similar parts. Read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Write routine reports and correspondence. Use software programs such as spreadsheets and word processing. Work effectively with company personnel and customers. Maintain regular attendance and punctuality. Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times. Work in various weather conditions. Travel to remote locations as needed. What We're Looking For High school diploma or GED. 1 year of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment (preferred). Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English. Basic computer skills (spreadsheets and word processing). Strong math skills: add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; compute rate, ratio, and percent; draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to apply common sense and carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to solve problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Valid Class C driver's license. Must be insurable by the company's insurance carrier. Must be bondable. Safety certifications (as required).
