The Warehouse Clerk is responsible for supporting daily warehouse operations to ensure accurate receiving, storage, inventory control, and material movement. This role plays a critical part in maintaining inventory integrity and ensuring that production and shipping activities are supported without delay. This position also requires the proper handling, tracking, and protection of sensitive and government-owned materials. Accuracy, accountability, and adherence to established processes are essential, as errors can directly impact production, compliance, and customer requirements. This is not a passive role — it requires attention to detail, ownership of assigned tasks, and the ability to operate with urgency while maintaining accuracy. Job Requirements & Qualifications Skills & Responsibilities Include but are not limited to: Receive incoming materials, verify quantities against packing slips, and inspect for visible damage Accurately enter receipts and inventory transactions into the ERP system (e.g., Global Shop) Laser Part Mark, label, tag, and store materials in designated warehouse locations Maintain organized and clearly identifiable inventory locations Pull, stage, and issue materials to production in accordance with work orders and demand Prepare materials for shipment, including packaging, labeling, and documentation Track usage of consumables, including those with limited shelf life, and ensure adequate stock levels are maintained to support production Perform routine cycle counts and assist with full physical inventories Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies in coordination with Purchasing, Quality, and Production Ensure all documentation (receiving records, packing slips, inventory logs) is complete and properly filed Generate and Non-Conforming Material Reports (NCMR) for discrepant materials when identified Handle, store, and track government-owned and customer-owned property in accordance with company procedures and regulatory requirements Maintain strict accountability and traceability of materials, including lot control, certifications, and associated documentation Ensure proper identification, segregation, and protection of sensitive and controlled materials Immediately report any loss, damage, or discrepancy involving inventory or controlled assets Support internal and external audits, including quality system and customer/government property reviews Operate material handling equipment (forklift, pallet jack) safely and in accordance with company policy Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly warehouse environment Communicate material shortages, delays, or issues proactively to leadership Follow all company policies, including safety, quality, and export control requirements such as ITAR where applicable Physical Requirements Ability to regularly lift, carry, and move items up to 50 pounds. Comfortable working in high-temperature and industrial environments. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods of time. Skills Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy over assumption Basic computer skills with ability to learn ERP systems quickly Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment Clear communication skills with both warehouse and production teams Ability to follow written and verbal instructions consistently Knowledge & Experience Basic understanding of warehouse operations and inventory control practices Familiarity with receiving, stocking, picking, and shipping processes Understanding of lot control, traceability, and inventory accuracy principles Awareness of handling requirements for sensitive, controlled, or government-owned materials Exposure to ERP systems (Global Shop or similar) is a plus 1-3 years of warehouse, inventory, or material handling experience preferred Experience in a manufacturing or regulated environment is a plus Work Eligibility (ITAR): This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required.
