• Summary
• The Material Handler is responsible for loading, unloading and moving materials within or near the plant, yard or work site.
• Duties and Responsibilities
• _To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform the following essential duties satisfactorily.

Other duties may be assigned to address business needs and changing business practices._ + Receives, processes and tags incoming material + Moves inventory materials to their respective area + Issues parts to areas of work in process + Uses steel cutters, crowbar, clawhammer or other hand tools to open containers. + Performs cycle counting and physical inventories + Maintains equipment in clean, good working order + Documents and enters inventory information into the computer system

• Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications
• + Experience in forklift operations + Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including, but not limited to, steel toed boots, goggles, ear plugs, gloves + Proficient in computer software applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook + Ability to communicate and collaborate professionally, both verbally and in writing, at all levels + Ability to organize and prioritize projects and information with accuracy, under tight timeframes, to meet organizational needs + Ability to set goals independently and take initiative to accomplish them •Preferred Qualifications•+ Materials or warehouse experience + One + years work experience as a material handler in an industrial setting + Proficient with the American Association of Railroads (AAR) and Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) industry and customer requirements •Work Environment and Physical Requirements•Work Environment•_The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
