Warehouse Receiving Clerk

Warehouse Receiving Clerk Job Description:

The Warehouse Receiving Clerk is responsible for receiving, verifying, recording, and storing products and raw materials received at the warehouse.

Responsibilities:

• Manage incoming and outgoing deliveries.
• Assist with unloading shipments from trucks, using equipment like forklifts or hand jacks, and placing goods in designated storage areas.
• Inform Management of delay in delivery of supplies, receipt of damaged goods and/or the incorrect quantity of goods.
• Perform cycle counts and deliver accurate results to Management.
• Update inventory records in a computer database.
• Maintain the filing system in the warehouse and update appropriate records when required.
• Fill requested department orders and track orders filled.
• Customer service and professional etiquette utilization at all times on emails, and phone calls.
• Filing papers and maintaining logs.
• Order creation and tracking for all warehouse orders.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

• Warehouse experience.
• Must have experience with Excel.
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills; excellent interpersonal skills.
• Well versed in organizing files in chronological, alphabetical, and numerical order.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Reliable, self-starter, with strong attention to detail.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time and handle heavy lifting.
• Discretion and an understanding of confidentiality issues.
