Warehouse Associate Job Description This Warehouse Associate role supports the shipping department by handling materials, processing orders, and maintaining accurate inventory in a fast-paced warehouse environment. You will work as part of a team while having your individual performance and contributions tracked, ensuring both collaboration and accountability. Responsibilities Work collaboratively within the shipping department while maintaining individual accountability for productivity and accuracy. Handle incoming and outgoing materials, including shipping, receiving, returns, and order picking activities. Use RF scanners to scan, track, and verify inventory and orders with a high level of accuracy. Move pallets of product and empty pallets within narrow aisles using appropriate equipment operated by certified team members. Support inventory control by counting, organizing, and verifying stock as needed. Climb and safely use a 12-foot staircase ladder to access products stored at various heights. Lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds independently for extended periods during the shift. Walk at a fast pace throughout the warehouse for 8-12 hours per day to meet productivity expectations. Follow all warehouse rules, including restrictions on personal electronic devices, to maintain safety and focus. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with warehouse safety guidelines. Essential Skills 0-6 months of related warehouse or material handling experience. Ability to perform warehouse tasks such as material handling, receiving, returns, shipping, inventory control, and order picking. Experience or comfort using RF scanners to assist with order processing and inventory tracking. Ability to walk at a fast pace for 8-12 hours per day on a consistent basis. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds independently, potentially for 8-12 hours per day. Comfort working at heights and using a 12-foot staircase ladder safely. Ability to work effectively in a busy warehouse environment with narrow aisles and multiple people present. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety and operational procedures. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or returns processing is beneficial. Experience in inventory control or order picking is an advantage. Familiarity with palletized products and working around electric pallet jacks is helpful. Willingness to work in a structured environment with clear rules regarding personal electronics. The warehouse enforces a strict no-electronics policy, so cellphones, smartwatches, and other personal electronic devices are not permitted inside. Appropriate footwear such as sneakers, boots, or steel-toe shoes is required to support safety and comfort during your shift. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Flower Mound, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
