General Labor/Furnace Associate SmartTrades LLC Fort Worth, TX Job Details Full-time $17 an hour 19 hours ago Qualifications Forklift Manufacturing facility Warehouse experience Materials handling Factory experience Full Job Description General Laborer The General Laborer supports daily production operations by loading and unloading materials, preparing parts for heat treatment, performing basic inspections, maintaining a clean work area, and assisting furnace operators and production personnel. This position requires working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, industrial equipment, and heavy materials, supporting heat-treat operations through material handling, loading/unloading parts, quality checks, and maintaining a safe production environment. Ideal for candidates with warehouse, construction, manufacturing, welding, machine operation, or general labor experience. Essential Duties Load and unload metal parts, baskets, racks, and fixtures. Move materials throughout the facility using carts, pallet jacks, or forklifts. Assist furnace operators with staging and preparing production loads. Perform visual inspections of parts before and after processing. Clean and organize workstations and production areas. Follow work instructions, safety procedures, and quality standards. Label, sort, and package finished products. Help with inventory and material handling tasks. Report equipment issues or safety concerns to supervisors. Perform other general production duties as assigned. Requirements Manufacturing, warehouse, construction, or general labor experience preferred but not required. Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly throughout the shift. Comfortable working in hot industrial environments. Reliable transportation and attendance. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Physical Requirements Stand and walk for extended periods. Frequent bending, lifting, pushing, and pulling. Work around furnaces, cranes, forklifts, and moving equipment. Wear required PPE including steel-toe boots, safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection.
