Overview We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Worker to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse by managing inventory, handling materials, and supporting shipping and receiving processes. This position requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to operate various warehouse equipment safely and effectively. Duties Manage inventory levels and ensure accurate stock counts through effective inventory control practices. Operate warehouse equipment including forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and cranes for loading and unloading materials. Perform picking and packing of orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring timely order fulfillment. Assist with shipping and receiving processes, including verifying shipments against purchase orders. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse to comply with OSHA standards. Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) such as AS400 for tracking inventory movements. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and improve operational efficiency. Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure proper mechanical function and safety compliance. Participate in training programs for heavy equipment operation as necessary. Skills Proven experience in warehouse operations with knowledge of materials handling techniques. Familiarity with inventory management practices and systems, including RF scanners. Experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts and order pickers is preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively. Ability to lift heavy items consistently as part of daily duties. Understanding of packaging standards and procedures for safe shipment of goods. Previous experience in a manufacturing or construction environment is advantageous. Excellent organizational skills with a focus on detail-oriented tasks. Duties:

  • Operate order picker and other warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, and cherry pickers
  • Pick and pack orders accurately and efficiently
  • Load and unload materials from trucks
  • Organize and maintain inventory in the warehouse
  • Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment
  • Collaborate with warehouse supervisor to ensure timely fulfillment of orders
  • Assist with shipping and receiving tasks as needed ```
Requirements:
```
  • Previous experience as an order picker or in a similar role preferred
  • Proficient in operating order picker, pallet jack, forklift, and cherry picker
  • Strong materials handling skills
  • Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor issues with equipment
  • Ability to lift heavy packages and perform physical tasks for extended periods of time
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in order picking and packing
  • Excellent organizational skills to maintain inventory records
