In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently managing the movement, storage, and handling of materials within the warehouse environment. Your expertise in operating heavy equipment, ensuring safety compliance, and maintaining accurate inventory records will be vital to supporting our supply chain processes. The ideal candidate will possess strong warehouse experience, mechanical knowledge, and proficiency with various handling equipment to ensure smooth and safe operations. Duties Load and unload materials using appropriate equipment such as forklifts, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks, adhering to safety protocols. Operate heavy machinery including cranes and RF scanners to accurately pick, pack, and ship orders. Manage inventory by organizing materials within the warehouse and updating records in the warehouse management system. Assist with order picking processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in fulfilling customer orders. Support shipping and receiving activities by inspecting incoming shipments for damage and verifying order accuracy. Conduct heavy lifting tasks safely while following OSHA standards to prevent injuries. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize storage solutions and improve workflow efficiency. Maintain mechanical knowledge of handling equipment for routine inspections and minor repairs. Ensure compliance with safety regulations related to materials handling and warehouse operations. Support construction or industrial projects as needed by providing logistical assistance with heavy equipment operation. Requirements Proven experience in warehouse distribution, materials handling, or related fields. Hands-on experience operating forklifts, cranes, clamp trucks, RF scanners, pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment. Knowledge of OSHA safety standards applicable to warehouse environments. Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform routine maintenance on handling equipment. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory tracking. Strong understanding of shipping & receiving procedures and order picking processes. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during daily tasks. Previous experience in construction or industrial settings is a plus. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory management. Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members across departments.
