Job Description

Expal USA has renewed our commitment to expanded capabilities to meet the needs of our customer, the U.S. Government. We have upgraded our equipment and refined our processes to emphasize productivity, innovation, safety and teamwork in the disassembly, destruction and disposal of munitions that can no longer be used. We need new employees to be a part of our team in our Hooks, Texas facility and invite you to apply. We are seeking a
NIGHT SHIFT BOX LOADER
to work 12-hour shifts (2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on) at a starting pay of $18/hour. If you have a high school diploma or equivalent, an eye for detail, and a positive attitude that is contagious, we invite you to apply to be part of our team.
JOB SUMMARY
The Box Loader Operator is responsible for loading, weighing, and preparing boxes of explosive materials for destruction in the static detonation chamber (SDC) and assist processing the burning trays for the oven. The box loader's mission is to complete these tasks, among others, in a safe and efficient manner in pursuit of the goals of Expal
USA. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Follow all Expal process work instructions and safety standards Ensure proper handling, loading, and weighing of ordnance, ordnance components, and explosives during preparation for destruction in the SDC (static detonation chamber) Ensure training and understanding of the proper handling and unique hazards of various types of ordnance and explosives that may be encountered Assist the SDC Operators with operating the loading, unloading, and sorting duties when running the oven Ensure a clean and orderly work area at all times

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (as demonstrated through experience, training and/or testing) Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and report any issues that may occur both by oral notification and written forms. Ability to work in self-motivated manner and operate with minimal supervision Ability to read, write and speak English Ability to perform basic mental math calculations Experience None required Education High School diploma or equivalent Background Prerequisites Must undergo and meet company standards for background check, employment verification, reference checks, controlled substance testing and pre-employment physical.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Previous experience in manufacturing and/or explosives handling
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

In addition to other demands, the demands of the job include: Ability to lift 25lbs frequently, and lift up to 60lbs occasionally Ability to handle explosives and ordnance safely Ability to exchange information by seeing, hearing, speaking, and writing Ability to operate in a warehouse environment under unfavorable weather conditions (both heat and cold) Overtime work without advance notice Exposure to and requirement to handle sensitive and confidential information Maintaining a standing/walking position 90% of time Safely operating machinery with appropriate training and work instructions Requirement to wear personal protective equipment to include safety glasses, protective boots, ear plugs, and gloves
