Job Description

Now Hiring:
Summer Dockhands — Nautical Boat Club - Kemah Nautical Boat Club® is a premier Boating Country Club® franchise located at the Kemah Boardwalk — and we're just getting started. We're a young, tight-knit operation with big ambitions and real room for the right people to grow with us from the ground up. We're currently seeking energetic, dependable Dockhands to join our summer team. If you love being on the water, working outdoors, and helping people enjoy unforgettable boating experiences, this could be the perfect job for you. This position is ideal for anyone looking to log hours toward a USCG Captain's License — and for those with bigger goals, the path to leadership here is short. We're the kind of place where a motivated person can go from dockhand to dock manager in a single season. If you're interested in eventually running marina operations, managing a fleet, or stepping into a captaining role somewhere down the road, we want to help you build that resume. Pay is based on experience and how much responsibility you want to take on — the ceiling is yours to set. What You'll Do As a Dockhand, you'll be part of the front line that keeps our club running smoothly. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Preparing boats for member use and checking boats in/out Washing and detailing boats daily to keep the fleet in top condition Assisting members with loading/unloading gear Safely docking, undocking, and maneuvering boats in tight quarters Performing light maintenance and reporting mechanical issues Keeping the dock area clean, organized, and safe Delivering exceptional customer service with a friendly, helpful attitude Bonus Points If You're Into Content Creation We're actively building our brand and would love a team member who has an eye for good content. If you enjoy shooting short videos, capturing drone footage, or helping create the kind of clips that make people say "I want to do that" — there's a real role for that here. Member testimonials, on-the-water moments, behind-the-scenes dock life — if you've got the interest or the skills, we want to hear about it. What We're Looking For We're looking for team members who are: Outgoing and friendly with great communication skills Self-starters who want to take ownership, not just punch a clock Responsible and able to follow safety procedures and instructions Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors 6-10 hours per shift Boating-savvy — prior experience driving boats or working around marinas is a big plus Reliable and able to work weekends and summer holidays Able to swim confidently (required)
Schedule & Pay Job Types:
Part-time | Seasonal |
