We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Container Stacker Operator to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to safely and efficiently operate container handling equipment, such as reach stackers or forklifts, within our container yard. The operator will be tasked with stacking, unstacking, and organizing containers in the yard to optimize space and ensure smooth operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate container handling equipment, including reach stackers, forklifts, or other yard equipment, to stack and move containers within the container yard. Safely stack containers in designated areas, ensuring proper placement and organization to maximize space. Transport containers to and from storage areas, ensuring efficient handling and management of yard inventory. Maintain accurate records of container movements and locations within the yard. Conduct daily inspections of equipment to ensure it is functioning properly and perform basic maintenance as needed. Follow safety protocols and adhere to company and regulatory standards to ensure a safe working environment. Work closely with yard supervisors and other team members to coordinate container movements and optimize yard layout. Assist in the organization and maintenance of the container yard, ensuring it is clean and free of hazards. Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to the appropriate personnel. Maintain good communication with team members to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent. Proven experience operating container handling equipment, such as reach stackers or forklifts, in a yard or warehouse setting. Strong understanding of safety protocols in a container yard or similar environment. Ability to work in all weather conditions and handle physically demanding tasks. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Valid driver's license and any required certifications for operating heavy equipment. Ability to lift heavy objects and operate machinery for long periods. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift during the course of the workday. Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Work Schedule:

Full-time position with shifts that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays depending on operational needs.
