In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating a sit-down forklift to handle materials, load and unload shipments, and organize inventory within our distribution center. Your bilingual abilities will facilitate clear communication with diverse team members and enhance overall operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess strong warehouse experience, mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to safety standards, supporting our mission to maintain seamless warehouse distribution processes.

Pay :

$18hr Shift M-F 6am-3pm or until finish (OVERTIME) Duties Operate sit-down forklifts proficiently to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse environment. Use equipment such as reach trucks, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, and pallet jacks to handle various types of cargo efficiently. Assist with order picking using equipment like pickers and ensure accurate selection for shipping orders. Maintain inventory organization by stacking pallets, consolidating shipments, and ensuring proper storage practices. Conduct routine equipment inspections and minor repairs to ensure forklifts and related machinery operate safely and effectively. Support shipping and receiving activities by verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against documentation. Follow OSHA safety guidelines and warehouse procedures to prevent accidents and promote a safe working environment. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize space utilization and improve warehouse management systems. Assist in training new team members on equipment operation, safety protocols, and warehouse procedures. Participate in regular safety meetings and contribute ideas for process improvements. Requirements Proven experience operating sit-down forklifts in a warehouse or distribution center setting. Bilingual proficiency in English and another language to facilitate communication across diverse teams. Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control procedures. Familiarity with equipment such as reach trucks, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, pallet jacks, and heavy equipment operation. Mechanical knowledge for basic equipment repair and troubleshooting. Understanding of OSHA safety standards related to forklift operation and materials handling. Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for inventory counts and measurements. Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting, load & unload tasks, and extended periods of standing or operating machinery. Previous experience in shipping & receiving, order picking, or warehouse supervision is advantageous.
