This role is essential in ensuring efficient warehouse operations, accurate inventory management, and seamless order fulfillment. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills in both English and another language, along with comprehensive experience in warehouse activities, heavy equipment operation, and inventory control. This position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where safety, precision, and teamwork are paramount. Key responsibilities include managing stock levels, operating various types of heavy equipment such as forklifts and reach trucks, and supporting shipping and receiving functions. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining optimal warehouse distribution processes while adhering to OSHA safety standards and utilizing warehouse management systems like AS400. This position is perfect for individuals with prior warehouse experience who are eager to contribute to a well-organized supply chain. Duties Operate heavy equipment including forklifts, reach trucks, cranes, pallet jacks, and order pickers to load, unload, and transport materials safely within the warehouse. Manage inventory control through regular stock checks, cycle counts, and reconciliation using RF scanners and warehouse management systems. Assist with order picking, packing, and shipping & receiving processes to ensure timely order fulfillment. Support warehouse distribution activities by organizing materials for manufacturing or construction projects. Maintain accurate records of inventory movements using AS400 or similar systems; ensure proper documentation for shipments. Perform heavy lifting tasks safely while adhering to OSHA regulations; handle materials with mechanical knowledge of packaging and materials handling techniques. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize storage solutions and improve operational efficiency. Support the stocking process by organizing products on pallets or shelves for easy access during order fulfillment. Participate in safety training sessions and uphold safety standards throughout all warehouse activities. Assist in the operation of mechanical equipment such as cranes or other specialized machinery as required. Qualifications Proven experience working in a warehouse environment with familiarity in warehouse distribution, inventory management, and materials handling. Demonstrated ability to operate heavy equipment including forklifts, reach trucks, cranes, pallet jacks, and order pickers; certification preferred. Strong knowledge of inventory control practices and warehouse management systems like AS400. Mechanical aptitude with understanding of packaging techniques and heavy lifting procedures. Prior experience in shipping & receiving, order picking & packing, or manufacturing settings is highly desirable. Ability to communicate fluently in English and at least one additional language; excellent interpersonal skills for team collaboration. Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to warehouse operations. Physical stamina for heavy lifting tasks; capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
