POSITION SUMMARY

Performing general labor duties including maintaining the yard, cleanliness of the shop & offices, and pull a refuse route when needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESONSIBLITIES

Operate mower and yard maintenance equipment Clean offices and restrooms Minor maintenance of offices and buildings including changing lightbulbs, unclogging plumbing, and fixing minor damages Sweep and clean yard, yard organizing, cleaning wash bay when needed, trash disposal Load/unload of equipment checking for damage on returns, documentation on condition, loading and unloading on trucks and trailers Keep yard neat and orderly Monitor, take, and/or reconcile inventory in yard Maintain surveillance of yard for broken, misplaced, or out of order equipment Fill in as a helper on the back of a refuse truck when needed Operate hand tools regularly used in loading or yard activity Perform other job-related duties as assigned or apparent

MINIMUM QUALIFCATIONS

Solid waste experience is preferred Ability to work with computers. Specifically, parts look up and inventory tracking Self-starter with the ability to take on new tasks without a lot of supervision Able to work well with minimal supervision Effective written and oral communication skills Ability to prioritize tasks and follow specified procedures Experience in working in a fast-paced environment Ability to work in various weather condition including inclement or hot weather

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Prolonged periods of standing and walking Ability to climb, bend, or crawl into awkward spaces Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move 75-100 pounds Exposure to physical occupational risks (such as cuts, burns, exposure to toxic chemicals, etc.) often Exposure to physical environment which involves moving mechanical parts, fumes fumes, dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes or similar elements often
