Manufacturing Loading Operator/Helper (General Labor)

Description:

Position Summary The Loading Operator / Helper supports machine operators and production staff in the manufacturing of Keysteel wire mesh products. This role is essential to keeping production running smoothly through material handling, quality checks, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Key Responsibilities Assist machine operators with setup and operation of welded mesh and production equipment Load and position raw materials such as wire coils and rods onto machines Remove finished panels or rolls from production lines Stack, bundle, tag, and prepare finished products for storage or shipment Perform visual inspections to identify defects or irregularities Help maintain proper material alignment and continuous feed during production Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of scrap material Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE Assist with basic machine maintenance and cleaning as directed Perform general labor duties as assigned by supervisors

Requirements:

Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred 1-3 years of manufacturing or warehouse experience is a plus Forklift experience preferred (certification is a plus) Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team environment Skills & Competencies Strong work ethic and reliability Attention to detail Teamwork and communication skills Safety-focused mindset Willingness to learn and grow into machine operation Physical Requirements Ability to lift 50 lbs or more as needed Ability to stand for extended periods Frequent bending, lifting, and repetitive motion Comfortable working around machinery in a production environment Work Environment Industrial manufacturing setting Exposure to noise, dust, and heavy equipment Required PPE includes safety glasses, gloves, and other protective gear
