Job Description

Material Handler Job Description This full-time Material Handler role supports all aspects of warehouse operations on a first-shift schedule. You will pick and deliver parts, manage inventory, and ensure materials move efficiently throughout the facility. This position is ideal for a punctual, communicative, diligent, and detail-oriented team player who enjoys working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. Responsibilities Lift and move materials weighing 50 pounds or more on a regular basis. Fulfill production orders from the main warehouse location by accurately picking required materials by hand. Pick and deliver parts requests to designated departments and locations within the facility. Identify and label materials clearly and record accurate warehouse locations to maintain precise inventory levels. Replenish primary stock locations to ensure materials are available to support production needs. Perform and report inventory cycle counts to help maintain accurate stock records. Complete a daily mail run between buildings to support internal operations. Use pallet jacks and other material handling equipment to move materials safely and efficiently. Climb rolling ladders up to 14 feet to access and retrieve materials stored at height. Conduct light housekeeping and basic maintenance in assigned areas to maintain a clean and safe warehouse environment. Create and prepare crates or packaging for finished assembled products as needed. Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while handling materials and operating equipment. Essential Skills Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 50 pounds safely. Ability to stand or walk for extended periods throughout the shift. Ability to squat, bend, kneel, reach overhead, and reach forward frequently while performing job duties. Experience operating material handling equipment, such as pallet jacks, is strongly preferred. Ability to work effectively in a team environment with strong communication skills. Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and prioritize work. Basic computer skills, including email and typing, to support simple system interactions. Comfort working on rolling ladders up to 14 feet to access inventory. Self-motivated, energetic, and agile approach to daily tasks in a warehouse setting. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with Warehouse Management Systems is helpful. Oracle knowledge is a plus. Experience with
SAP, SAP
ERP, or other SAP systems is beneficial. Familiarity with Oracle PeopleSoft is an advantage. Experience using RF scanners for order picking and inventory tracking. Background in material handling, order pulling, picking, packing, and pallet jack operation. Comfort working in an electronic manufacturing warehouse environment. Work Environment The role is based in a climate-controlled electronic manufacturing warehouse operating on a first-shift schedule, typically from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with occasional variations in hours. Work is primarily hands-on, focusing on picking orders by hand and moving materials rather than extensive computer or MRP system use. You will work around pallet jacks, RF scanners, and rolling ladders up to 14 feet, and you will spend most of the day standing, walking, lifting, and reaching. The facility includes multiple buildings, requiring regular movement between them for mail runs and material delivery. The environment emphasizes safety, cleanliness, and teamwork, with light housekeeping responsibilities to keep the warehouse orderly and efficient. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Plano, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
