Yard Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Yard Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the efficiency of our yard operations, ensuring that materials are handled safely and effectively. Daily hand loading of lumber, chain link, steel and other materials. This position requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to operate a forklift and drive a pickup truck and trailer. Responsibilities Safely handle and transport materials within the yard using appropriate equipment. Build loads and stage lumber and other materials for installation crews. Loading and unloading materials by hand. Deliver and pick up materials with a full size truck and 20' trailer Assist in shipping and receiving processes, ensuring accurate documentation and inventory management. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Perform routine inspections on equipment to ensure proper functionality and safety compliance. Collaborate with team members to meet operational goals and deadlines. Maintain and keep clean and organized the yard for appearance and safety. Lift up to 80lb bags of concrete and lumber. Skills Proficiency in materials handling techniques. Familiarity with lumber dimensions such as 4x4's, 2x4's. Proficiency in math. Strong understanding of shipping and receiving processes. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented setting while maintaining individual accountability. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail. Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members and supervisors.
