Job details Summary Spherion $15.00 per hour Temporary 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM Industry manufacturing & production (Production Occupations) Reference number S_175100 Job details We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for the movement, organization, and supply of raw materials and finished goods throughout the facility. You will play a critical part in ensuring that our production lines remain efficient and that our high-quality building products are safely handled and prepared for shipment. ...
Responsibilities:
Material Movement:
Safely transport raw materials, components, and finished products to designated areas using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual dollies.
Production Support:
Supply production lines with necessary materials in a timely manner to prevent downtime.
Inventory Control:
Perform cycle counts and assist in maintaining accurate inventory records; report any discrepancies or damaged goods to supervisors.
Loading & Unloading:
Assist in unloading inbound shipments and loading outbound freight onto trailers, ensuring loads are secure and balanced.
Quality Assurance:
Inspect materials for defects or damage prior to delivery to the production floor or shipment to customers.
Safety & Housekeeping:
Maintain a clean and organized work environment (5S standards) and strictly adhere to all safety protocols, including the use of required PPE.
Working hours:
6:00 AM - 6:00
PM Skills:
Experience:
Prior experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or distribution environment preferred.
Education:
High School Experience:
1-4 years
Qualifications:
Equipment Operation:
Ability to operate (or willingness to be trained on) material handling equipment such as forklifts, side-loaders, or overhead cranes.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand/walk for the duration of an 8 to 12-hour shift in a non-climate-controlled environment.
Basic Math:
Proficiency in basic math for counting inventory and measuring dimensions.
