$13 - $16/hr (depending on assignment)
Position Overview
Warehouse Heavy Lifters are responsible for loading, unloading, moving, organizing, and staging materials, products, equipment, and inventory throughout the facility. The ideal candidate is physically capable of performing repetitive lifting, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, and is committed to safety, productivity, and teamwork. This position may require working in varying temperatures, including cold storage, production, and outdoor environments.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Load and unload trucks, trailers, containers, and delivery vehicles.
Lift, carry, move, stack, and organize products, materials, and equipment weighing up to 75 pounds or more.
Stage materials and products for shipping, receiving, production, and distribution.
Sort, palletize, wrap, label, and prepare products for shipment.
Assist with inventory organization and warehouse housekeeping.
Move products manually or with pallet jacks, hand trucks, carts, or other material handling equipment.
Assist forklift operators and warehouse personnel with loading and unloading activities.
Maintain clean and organized warehouse aisles, storage areas, and workspaces.
Inspect products for damage and report discrepancies to supervisors.
Follow all safety policies, procedures, and company guidelines.
Assist with production line support, packaging, assembly, and warehouse operations as assigned.
Remove trash, pallets, packaging materials, and debris from work areas.
Work collaboratively with supervisors, forklift operators, production personnel, and warehouse teams.
Meet productivity standards while maintaining quality and safety requirements.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Minimum six (6) months of warehouse or general labor experience preferred.
Ability to repeatedly lift, carry, push, pull, and move up to 75 pounds throughout the workday.
Ability to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and flexible schedules as needed.
Ability to pass required background screenings and pre-employment requirements (drug screening) when applicable.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, logistics, or production experience.
Experience loading and unloading trucks and trailers.
Experience using pallet jacks, hand trucks, or warehouse equipment.
Forklift certification or forklift experience preferred but not required
Experience working in cold storage, refrigerated, or outdoor environments.
Knowledge of warehouse safety practices and inventory procedures.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
OSHA training or workplace safety certifications are a plus.
Work Environment
Work is performed in warehouses, distribution centers, manufacturing plants, production facilities, and outdoor loading areas.
Environment may include exposure to varying temperatures, including hot, cold, humid, refrigerated, or freezer conditions.
Employees may be exposed to dust, noise, machinery, moving equipment, and warehouse traffic.
Fast-paced environment with productivity expectations and frequent physical activity.
Work may involve overtime, weekends, evenings, and extended shifts based on operational needs.
Physical and Mental Requirements
Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, and move up to 75 pounds on a frequent basis.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, squat, climb, and reach throughout the shift.
Ability to perform repetitive lifting and material handling activities for 8-12 hour shifts.
Ability to work safely around forklifts, machinery, conveyors, and warehouse equipment.
Ability to climb ladders and work at varying heights when required.
Ability to work in varying temperatures and environmental conditions.
Ability to maintain physical stamina throughout extended shifts.
Ability to maintain focus and productivity in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety procedures.
Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing work assignments.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
Ability to recognize workplace hazards and respond appropriately.
Ability to maintain a positive attitude while performing physically demanding work.
