Job Description

Job Type:
Full-time, Non-Exempt Job Summary :
This position is responsible for coordinating pickups and deliveries, managing inventory records, fulfilling partner agency orders, direct service orders, and maintaining a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment. The associate works closely with the Lead Warehouse Associate, Program Resources Director, volunteers, and staff to support efficient distribution efforts, uphold safety and loss prevention standards, and ensure high-quality service to partner agencies and the community.
Responsibilities/Job Description:
Procurement Tasks:
Coordinates the delivery of donated or purchased goods Helps unload and store goods Schedules and performs pick-ups of goods throughout San Antonio & surrounding areas Drives box truck or van for pick-ups and deliveries of goods
Inventory Tasks:
Fill direct service and partner agency orders Coordinates cleaning and storage of goods Manage distribution of items via current management system (Excel Spreadsheets) Adhere to loss prevention policies and procedures Assist current Lead Warehouse Associate to conduct timely inventory audits
Warehouse Tasks:
Assist current Lead Warehouse Associate to maintain warehouse facility neatness and cleanliness Assist current Lead Warehouse Associate with maintenance and compliance of all vehicles (box trucks & vans) Accurately fulfill customer orders by pulling product and assembling packages with designated product Review orders before and after delivery to ensure that orders are complete and accurate Assist with loading and unloading items from trailers using the forklift and/or pallet jack Operate equipment and machines, such as vans, box trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.
Other Tasks:
Train and supervise volunteers Be able to load & unload trailers as needed Other tasks and duties may be assigned as needed
Safety:
Ensure safety of self and all personnel, by following safety polices Load, transport and deliver items to clients or businesses in a safe, timely manner Operate equipment and machines, such as vans, box trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, etc. guaranteeing a safe environment for self and all personnel What Success Looks Like for
This Position:
Performs all essential duties and other assigned tasks satisfactorily Meets department goals and objectives Attend and actively participate in all weekly, monthly, quarterly and as scheduled meetings Excellent communication with all staff Assist in a facility that is well maintained - clean, no repairs pending, well organized, etc. Drive in a safe & professional manner, observing all laws and maintaining a safe driving record Limit damage or loss of donated goods Is timely in processing of partner agency orders Assist current Lead Warehouse Associate to provide timely preparation and distribution of reports
Requirements:
High school diploma Minimum of 1 year forklift and box truck experience Advanced PC skills and expert proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Experience using warehouse management software Desire to work as part of a team and willingness to promote the principles and views of the Texas Diaper Bank Ability to work with minimal supervision- self-motivated & confident Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks Ability to work well with people from all backgrounds with varying degrees of experience Excellent verbal and written communications skills Good planning and organizational skills Creative "out-of-the-box" thinking Maintains professional appearance Be proficient in operating pallet jack, stacker, forklift, and other warehouse equipment Must be able to drive box truck under 26,000 lbs. in which no CDL is required Must posses a valid Class "C" Texas Driver's license, have own transportaion and maintain liability insurance
Physical Requirements:
Ability to bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 lbs. (if applicable) Reports to :
Program Resources Director Work Location:
1803 Grandstand Drive, Suite 150, San Antonio, TX 78238.
Work Hours:
40 hours/week, M-TH 7:30am- 5:00pm; Friday 7:30am-1:30pm. Must be flexible to work late hours or weekends if required.

$19.00 per hour
