Rigg's Machine & Welding is seeking a dependable Material Handler to support shop operations by moving, storing, and organizing materials. The ideal candidate is reliable, safety-focused, and able to work in a physically active environment while assisting with basic fabrication processes. Key Responsibilities Move and transport materials between loading docks, delivery vehicles, storage areas, and the shop floor Load and unload incoming and outgoing freight Operate forklift and overhead crane to handle materials safely Assist with material preparation, including shearing and basic press brake operations (if experienced) Support layout work and fabrication processes as needed Maintain organization of inventory and shop areas Follow all safety procedures and directions from supervisors Qualifications Previous material handling or shop experience preferred Experience with shearing, press brake operation, and layout work is a plus Ability to read and use a tape measure and perform basic math calculations Ability to operate a forklift and overhead crane Must have a valid driver's license Reliable, team-oriented, and able to follow instructions Must be bondable (able to work around cash office) Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 75 lbs Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift Comfortable working in a shop environment Schedule
Monday-Friday:
7:30 AM - 5:00 PM
Saturday:
8:00 AM - 12:00 PM Pay & Employment Type
