Job Description

Allstate Signal & Construction is seeking a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Employee to join our dynamic team. As a Warehouse Employee, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our field crews have the necessary materials and inventory to efficiently complete their daily tasks. This involves meticulous preparation and organization to guarantee smooth operations. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are detail-oriented, proactive, and understand the importance of timely material readiness.
High-Level Tasks and Responsibilities:
Receiving and Unloading:
Efficiently and safely unload incoming shipments from trucks or containers.
Inventory Management:
Accurately count, inspect, and organize incoming inventory, ensuring proper storage and labeling. Material Preparation for
Crews:
Proactively gather and stage materials, tools, and equipment based on upcoming crew schedules and project requirements. This includes pulling inventory, organizing it for easy loading, and ensuring all necessary items are accounted for. Order Fulfillment (Internal): Prepare internal "orders" of materials and supplies needed by field crews for the following day's work.
Warehouse Organization and Maintenance:
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment.
Equipment Operation:
Safely operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks (certification may be required).
Quality Control:
Inspect goods for damage or discrepancies and report any issues. Adherence to
Safety Procedures:
Follow all safety regulations and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
Communication and Teamwork:
Communicate effectively with warehouse team members and field crew supervisors to ensure accurate material preparation and timely delivery.
Requirements:
Previous warehouse or material handling experience is a plus. Understanding of basic inventory principles. Ability to read and interpret material lists. Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50lbs) repeatedly. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team. Basic computer skills may be required. Forklift certification is a plus. Bilingual is a plus
Skills:
Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Proactive approach to anticipating crew needs. Strong work ethic and reliability. Ability to work under deadlines. Good communication skills.
Physical Demands:
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Frequent lifting, bending, and stooping. Exposure to varying warehouse temperatures.
