Position:
This role performs dimensional and visual inspections of parts, assemblies, and finished products to ensure they meet established specifications, while also supporting the processing of Diesel Particulate Filters (DPF). Responsibilities include checking in core DPF units, cleaning, testing, repairing, and preparing them for shipment.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Handle parts throughout the core rec stage to maintain consistent production flow
Performs basic dimensional and visual inspections of parts, assemblies, and finished products
Uses a variety of measuring devices to verify compliance with specifications
Requires completion of Magna Flux training and successful passage of the Magna Flux Eye Examination
Prepares, maintains, and documents all required inspection records accurately
Understand and comply with ISO9001 requirements
Complete all required daily paperwork and maintain accurate updates on production boards
Conduct 5S audits and complete assigned daily checklists
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying and suggesting process enhancements
Use daily discomfort logs and report any sickness, injury, or safety concern immediately—regardless of severity
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area through consistent housekeeping practices
Demonstrate flexibility by moving to various work areas based on production demands
Be available to work overtime, including weekends, as required by the production schedule
Participate in team huddles, group projects, and one‑on‑one communications to support team alignment
Follow all safety protocols, PPE requirements, and company procedures to ensure a safe working environment
Minimum Requirements:
Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety, including prompt reporting of near‑misses and incidents
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks
Proficient in gauging, measurement reading, and applied math skills
Able to follow Control Plans, LWI's, SOP's, and SWI's
Capable of obtaining and maintaining Lift Truck Certification
Skilled in reading machining gauges and using small hand tools
Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities
Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills; able to work independently or as part of a team
Knowledge of machine tooling is preferred Physical Requirements Lift and maneuver materials weighing up to 75 pounds with proper assistance, including the use of overhead cranes or approved lifting devices, following all safety procedures and team‑lifting protocols.
Use hands continuously throughout the shift, including gripping, manipulating, and positioning tools or materials.
Stand for prolonged periods (majority of the shift), including standing while working at benches or workstations.
Perform frequent bending, twisting, and torso rotation throughout the shift, including reaching to lower levels, turning at the waist, and maintaining bent‑over positions as required by task demands.
Perform frequent hand and arm movements, including:
Full‑fist gripping of tools
Pressing or pushing with thumbs and fingers
Twisting the lower arm
Turning or bending the wrist up, down, left, or right
Push and pull equipment or materials—such as carts, pallet jacks, or bins—on a regular basis.
