General Purpose of the
Position:
Safely disassemble, prepare, and assemble components of various powertrain products while meeting all quality and timing expectations
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Disassemble, inspect, assemble, and test products
Identify failures and determine appropriate corrective actions
Meet or exceed established production goals
Understand and follow LWI/SOP procedures
Collaborate with the Parts Department to order required components
Read and interpret blueprints as needed
Accurately read gauges and perform necessary mathematical calculations
Operate hydraulic presses and small air tools
Understand and comply with ISO9001 requirements
Complete all required daily paperwork and maintain accurate updates on production boards
Conduct 5S audits and complete assigned daily checklists
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying and suggesting process enhancements
Use daily discomfort logs and report any sickness, injury, or safety concern immediately-regardless of severity
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area through consistent housekeeping practices
Demonstrate flexibility by moving to various work areas based on production demands
Be available to work overtime, including weekends, as required by the production schedule
Participate in team huddles, group projects, and oneonone communications to support team alignment
Follow all safety protocols, PPE requirements, and company procedures to ensure a safe working environment
Minimum Requirements:
Education:
High school diploma/GED
Years of Experience:
2-5 years of Manufacturing Experience preferred
Other Qualifications:
Strong written and oral communication skills; ability to read, write, and comprehend detailed instructions, diagrams, and simple correspondence, and effectively present information in oneonone or smallgroup settings
Computer proficiency, with Excel and Word experience a plus
Ability to perform basic math, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and decimals
Ability to follow detailed written or verbal instructions and apply practical problemsolving skills in standardized situations
Ability to collaborate with a team or work independently
Competency using gauges and measuring equipment
Product knowledge and assemblyline experience preferred
Selfmotivated, detailoriented, and strong troubleshooting/problemsolving ability
Ability to understand and follow LWI/SOP processes and willingness to submit SOP change forms Physical Requirements Ability to safely lift and manipulate up to 85 lbs.
