Full-time Shift:
Day Shift - 6:00am to 4:30pm (Monday - Thursday) Position Description The Material Handler plays a key role in supporting manufacturing operations at SilencerCo by ensuring accurate, timely movement of materials throughout the facility. This position supports production goals, inventory accuracy, safety standards, and efficient material flow by executing established walking routes, maintaining inventory discipline, and partnering closely with manufacturing teams. Material Handlers are expected to be reliable, detail-oriented team players who contribute to the production of exceptional products. Job Responsibilities Execute established material handling and walking routes to ensure production areas are consistently supplied Accurately move, stage, and deliver raw materials, components, WIP, and finished goods throughout the facility Perform material transactions in inventory systems to maintain real-time inventory accuracy Support Kanban systems by replenishing materials based on visual signals and established triggers Maintain clean, organized, and clearly labeled material storage areas Support cycle counting activities and assist with physical inventory audits as needed Identify and communicate material shortages, discrepancies, or route delays to the Material Handling Supervisor Handle materials in compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of material handling equipment and PPE Assist with packaging, staging, and internal transfers to support production and shipping needs Collaborate with production, planning, quality, and maintenance teams to support uninterrupted operations Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to material flow, route efficiency, and inventory accuracy
Critical Results Route Adherence:
Consistently execute assigned walking and material delivery routes on time and as designed
Material Availability:
Ensure materials are available at production points of use to support on-time manufacturing
Inventory Accuracy:
Maintain accurate inventory records through proper transactions and process discipline
Kanban Support:
Effectively support Kanban systems to reduce excess inventory and improve material visibility
Safety Performance:
Maintain a safe working environment by following all safety policies and reporting hazards
Operational Support:
Contribute to smooth material flow and reduced production interruptions Job Qualifications Ability to adapt to changing priorities and production demands with a positive attitude Ability to work effectively in a team environment or independently with minimal supervision Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standardized work and route schedules Ability to manage time effectively and stay focused on daily material movement objectives Good communication skills and willingness to escalate issues when needed Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement Required Ability to lift up to 25 lbs Ability to walk extended distances throughout the facility while executing material routes Availability to work overtime, adjusted schedules, nights, or weekends as business needs require Basic computer skills and ability to learn inventory and tracking systems Eligibility to work in a regulated manufacturing environment 3-5 years Forklift experience Material handler experience
