Job Title:
Warehouse Associate Job Description The Warehouse Associate maintains accurate inventory records, supports cycle counts, and ensures proper material movement and storage within the warehouse and production areas. This role focuses on inventory accuracy, organization, and adherence to standard work practices while supporting daily warehouse and production requirements. Responsibilities Maintain accurate inventory records through regular cycle counts and inventory audits. Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and variances in a timely and thorough manner. Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials against packing slips and purchase orders. Ensure all materials are properly labeled, stored, and placed in correct inventory locations. Perform material transactions accurately and promptly in the inventory management or ERP system. Stage and issue materials to production as required to support daily manufacturing needs. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse in accordance with 5S standards. Use shipping and receiving processes to handle incoming and outgoing materials efficiently. Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment safely once certified. Use RF scanners or similar devices to track, update, and confirm inventory movements. Essential Skills At least 1 year of experience in a warehouse, inventory control, or manufacturing environment. Hands-on experience with inventory activities such as cycle counts, audits, and discrepancy resolution. Practical knowledge of shipping and receiving processes. Ability to operate or learn to operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment; forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification. Experience using RF scanners or similar barcode scanning devices. Experience with inventory management or ERP systems for material transactions. High school diploma or GED. Basic math skills to perform counts, reconciliations, and simple calculations. Basic data entry skills to update inventory records accurately. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical warehouse tasks such as lifting, carrying, and standing for extended periods. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately and consistently. Strong attention to detail and commitment to inventory accuracy. Ability to maintain organization and cleanliness in accordance with 5S standards. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous experience in a warehouse environment adjacent to production or assembly areas. Familiarity with standard work practices in manufacturing or distribution settings. Comfort working with technology such as RF scanners, computers, and ERP systems. Strong problem-solving skills to identify root causes of inventory discrepancies. Effective communication skills to coordinate with production, shipping, and receiving teams. Reliability and punctuality in supporting daily warehouse and production needs. Why Work Here? Work Environment This position is based in a warehouse environment located next to an assembly area within a brand new facility. You will work around inventory storage, material staging areas, and production support zones, using equipment such as forklifts, RF scanners, and computers with inventory or ERP systems. The role involves regular physical activity, including lifting up to 50 lbs, standing, walking, and moving materials throughout the warehouse and production areas. The facility emphasizes cleanliness and organization, following 5S standards to maintain a safe and orderly workspace. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Stafford, VA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $39520.00 - $41600.00/yr. health insurance, 401k plan, vacation days, paid holidays and sick leave.
