Warehouse Worker Job Description The Forklift Operator will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating a forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. This role is critical in maintaining an organized, smooth, and safe warehouse operation. Responsibilities Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Support production areas with a two-hour lead time on materials needed for the production floor. Engage in walking, cleaning, material handling by hand, and other assigned duties for 50% of the day. Use a warehouse management system and RF Scanners in distribution. Simultaneously balance multiple processes to support overall system efficiency. Essential Skills Minimum 3 years of experience in storage processes and forklift operation. Verified forklift certifications and skills through references. Experience in order selection, quality control, inventory, loading, and RF scanning. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in packaging, inventory control, picking, packing, pallet jack operation, shipping and receiving. Computer skills, labeling, order picking, load, unloading, walkie operation. Ability to lift 40 lbs unassisted. Thorough understanding of quality rules and safety standards. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Colonial Heights, VA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.74 - $21.74/hr.
