Job Description

```html Join our dynamic team as a General Laborer, where you will play a crucial role in supporting our operations. Our company is committed to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment, and we value the contributions of each team member. As a General Laborer, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks that ensure the smooth operation of our facility. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced, high-output industrial environment and develop your skills with heavy equipment. Responsibilities Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment. Perform general cleaning and maintenance of work areas. Operate basic facility equipment such as balers, compactors, or conveyors under supervision, if trained. Operate equipment such as forklifts, skid steers, and other machinery to assist with material movement, facility upkeep, and production support. Follow safety procedures and company policies at all times. Support skilled machine operators or supervisors as needed. Move materials and equipment to designated areas. Assist in routine inspections and minor repairs. Manually sort recyclable materials from conveyor belts and material piles (plastics, metals, paper, cardboard, etc.). Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members. Follow all safety guidelines and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times. Assist with the scale as needed. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications 2 or more years of experience operating heavy equipment in a fast-paced high output industrial environment. Previous general labor or plant experience is a plus. High school diploma or equivalent. Must be able to physically operate heavy equipment. Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, and stand to operate and repair heavy equipment. Must be able to work in all types of weather, including extremely hot and extremely cold temperatures. Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds at times. Thorough understanding of practices involved in the use of various types of heavy equipment. Thorough understanding of maintenance and basic repairs associated with heavy equipment. Thorough understanding of safety rules and ability to safely operate machinery. Superior skill in operating assigned equipment safely and efficiently.
