19.70 We are seeking a reliable, safety-minded Forklift Operator to join our warehouse distribution team. In this role, you will be a critical link in our supply chain, responsible for safely moving, staging, and preparing product for shipment. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, possesses strong spatial awareness, and prioritizes a "safety first" mindset at all times.
Key Responsibilities Material Handling:
Safely operate material handling equipment (including sit-down/stand-up forklifts, reach trucks, and electric pallet jacks) to move, stack, and stage inventory.
Shipping & Receiving:
Efficiently load and unload incoming and outgoing freight from trailers, flatbeds, and containers.
Order Accuracy:
Utilize RF scanners to accurately pick, track, and scan inventory, verifying item counts against bills of lading (BOL) and shipping manifests.
Put-Away & Racking:
Store incoming inventory in designated high-bay racking slots, ensuring maximizing space utilization without damaging product.
Inventory Control:
Conduct routine cycle counts and assist in maintaining clean, organized, and accurate warehouse grid layouts.
Safety & Maintenance:
Perform daily pre-operational equipment inspections (checking fluids, brakes, and hydraulics) and report any maintenance issues immediately. Adhere strictly to OSHA standards and warehouse safety protocols.
Qualifications & Skills Experience:
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a fast-paced warehouse, distribution, or logistics environment.
Equipment Proficiency:
Proven experience with specific lift types (e.g., sit-down propane/electric, stand-up reach, or cherry pickers) is highly preferred.
Technical Skills:
Familiarity with RF scanner guns and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is a strong plus. IND 34
