Job Description

The Assistant Warehouse Lead acts as a backup in the absence of the Warehouse Lead. In addition, the Assistant Warehouse Lead is responsible for keeping the warehouse areas organized, loading, and unloading trucks, labeling stock and non-stock materials, and completing any other tasks related to Shipping and Receiving and Warehouse.

7am to 3pm Responsibilities Unload incoming trucks Check weight of incoming raw material Consolidate raw material Sample Raw material Pull Customer orders verifying weights and materials. Filling out proper weight logs for shipping orders. Keep workspaces clean and orderly - maintaining safe raw material storage Keep accurate inventory of raw material Complete inventory cycle counts Pull raw material and rework for production Basic knowledge of Cimpro desired - will train Follows and complies with all safety and work rules and regulations Meets requirements to achieve and maintain certifications and accreditations, as they pertain to job Other duties/responsibilities as assigned, or as apparent. Skills and Abilities Must be able to learn and operate effectively the Cimpro system Must be well organized and have a strong attention to detail Must be capable of multi-tasking and working both as a team and independently Must have the ability to communicate effectively and demonstrate courtesy, tact, and confidentiality when dealing with customers (written and verbal communication) Must be dependable and demonstrate excellent attendance Must be able to work overtime as needed Must exhibit strong safety awareness Must be able to maintain forklift license and have a valid driver's license Attendance is an essential function of the job. Must be able to read, write and speak English. Education and Experience Must have a High School Diploma/GED or 1 year of Industrial Work Experience Must have 3+ years of Shipping/Receiving and/or Warehouse Experience Must demonstrate forklift experience and ability to operate other warehouse equipment Customer service experience a plus Inventory control experience a plus Physical Requirements and Working Conditions Regularly Communicates via phone, email, in person. Sustain long periods of light to moderate heavy physical activity. Required to walk, bend, reach, twist, turn and stand, climb stairs, sit in one place for extended periods of time. Use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch; talk, hear, and see. Frequently Lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. Occasionally Able to work overhead. Exposure to noise levels above the OSHA action level may be possible. Proper personal safety equipment is to be used while performing this job as pointed out by plant safety procedures. May be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, dust, fumes, airborne particles, and chemical dust. Exposed to hazardous materials as defined by the OSHA Hazard Communication standard. Other Specific vision abilities may require close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
