Job Description
Conestoga Tile - Branch Warehouseman The Branch Warehouseman's responsibility is to process order transfers, stock transfers and customer order pick-ups and keep the branch warehouse clean and organized. Duties and responsibilities
- Maintains shipping and receiving warehousing operations
- Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
- Maintains physical condition of warehouse by routinely removing trash, sweeping and organizing.
- Maintains warehouse equipment by inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement along with the Branch Manager's involvement.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Adheres to all warehousing, handling and shipping legislation requirements.
- Maintains standards of health and safety, hygiene and security
- Receives feedback and monitor the quality of services provided
- Efficiently picks customer orders for shipment, ensuring that the correct quantity and type of product is loaded and shipped.
- Properly loads pallet per company standards
- Accurately labels all order as requested.
- Carries or transports orders to shipping locations or delivery platforms with material handling equipment.
- Ensures outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage
- Operates forklift in performance of unloading and loading trucks and order filling duties when required.
- Safely operates the stretch wrapper to secure loads to the pallet
- Conducts physical inventories as requested and required
- Participates in maintaining a clean, neat and orderly warehouse.
- Conducts operations in a manner that adheres to and promotes safety
- Adheres to all company safety procedures and policies.

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven work experience as a warehouse manager
- Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices
- Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives
- Strong knowledge of warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Leadership skills and ability manage staff
- Strong decision making and problem solving skills
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Excellent organization skills.
- Excellent customer service skills

- Regularly required to use hands to lift/handle materials including reaching with hands and arms
- Regularly lift and/or move objects 10-75 lbs., occasionally lift and/or move objects (including sliding, pushing/pulling) objects that weigh more than 100 lbs.
- Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
