We are looking for a Material Handler / Logistics Specialist to join our team. In this role you will be the backbone of our shop floor operations — keeping materials moving, inventory accurate, and jobs supplied on time. You will operate our forklift and delivery truck, manage incoming and outgoing shipments, coordinate hardware and powder coat logistics with our vendor, and perform final order assembly to ensure every customer shipment goes out complete and correct. The ideal candidate takes pride in keeping things organized, operates with a strong safety mindset, and thrives in a fast-moving production environment. We are looking for someone with proven forklift experience, a clean driving record, and the initiative to stay on top of inventory, especially hardware, without being asked twice.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- hands-on expert level forklift operation experience (certification a plus)
- a valid driver's license with a clean driving record and the ability to drive a company box truck
- experience with inventory or warehouse management
- strong attention to detail and accuracy when receiving, counting, and staging materials
- experience handling powder coated parts — inspecting for quality, coordinating with the vendor, and managing turnaround timing
- the ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently with minimal supervision
- clear, professional communication skills with teammates, purchasing, and outside vendors
- the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and navigate a warehouse environment safely In this position, you will: Forklift & Delivery operate the forklift and company box truck for on-site material handling and vendor deliveries and pickups drop off parts for powder coating and pick up finished product from vendors on schedule coordinate with the powder coat vendor on job timing, part quantities, and quality expectations inspect powder coated parts upon return for finish quality and accuracy before putting them away pick up and deliver to other vendors as needed Receiving & Inventory receive incoming shipments, verify against packing lists, and report any discrepancies immediately manage and maintain accurate hardware and material inventory levels; conduct regular cycle counts and spot audits label and put away product in designated warehouse locations; maintain clean and tidy work areas maintain daily records of receipts and shipments; provide inventory reports to the Purchasing/Logistics Lead communicate with purchasing and production regarding any material or inventory level issues Order Assembly review job orders and pull the correct hardware and components for each customer shipment coordinate with purchasing to confirm all required hardware is on hand before assembly begins — flag shortages early perform final assembly of customer orders, ensuring every component is accurate, complete, and properly packed pull, box, and label hardware pack-outs for job shipments accurately and on time conduct a final check of each order against the packing list before release to shipping General & Production Support operate bandsaw to cut parts as needed assist and contribute to continuous improvement projects follow all safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment perform other related duties as requested
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required Experience with inventory required Forklift operator certification preferred
Valid Drivers License Clean Driving Record Physical Requirements:
