Mattox Dog Training Academy is seeking highly capable, dependable, and self-motivated individuals who genuinely love dogs and want to help maintain a safe, clean, and enriching environment for them every day. We are looking for team members who take pride in hard work, enjoy being outdoors, and are willing to grow with our organization. Job Overview As a General Laborer / Handyman, this is a full-time position with weekend availability needed. You will assist with a variety of hands-on tasks that support the daily operations and upkeep of our dog training academy. This role involves physical labor, facility maintenance, cleaning, and assisting with basic dog care. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is reliable, hardworking, and eager to learn. Responsibilities Perform manual labor tasks, including lifting, carrying, and moving materials or equipment Assist with fencing installation, repairs, and general maintenance projects Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Operate basic hand and power tools safely and effectively Perform daily and weekly deep cleaning of kennels and outdoor facilities Clean play yards, shelter areas, and other outdoor spaces Pick up and properly dispose of dog waste Assist with basic care and supervision of dogs on-site Report any dog health or behavior concerns to managers and trainers Perform routine maintenance on fencing, gates, and facility equipment Work outdoors in various weather conditions Follow instructions from supervisors and senior team members Help ensure projects and daily responsibilities are completed on time Qualifications & Experience Previous manual labor, maintenance, handyman, or construction experience preferred Comfortable working around dogs of all sizes and temperaments Familiarity with common tools and equipment such as: Shovels, Hammers, Screwdrivers, Drills, Basic, landscaping, or repair tools. Ability to lift and move heavy materials and equipment Strong physical stamina and the ability to work on your feet for extended periods Dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining a clean environment Positive attitude and willingness to learn Why Join Us?
