Material Handler:
This is where you come in. We're looking for a Material Handler who plays a critical role in our logistics and supply chain operations. In this role, you'll ensure the efficient movement, storage, and distribution of materials to support our production and field teams. You'll be responsible for receiving, organizing, and delivering materials, parts, and products to keep operations running smoothly. This role reports to Mike Reichert, Director of Construction Operations. Top priorities in your first year:
Receiving:
Accurately receive incoming materials, verify shipments, and inspect for damage or defects
Storage:
Organize and store materials in designated locations to ensure accessibility and efficiency
Picking & Packing:
Pull materials based on project or production needs and prepare them securely for delivery or shipment
Inventory Management:
Maintain accurate inventory through regular cycle counts and audits
Loading & Unloading:
Safely load and unload materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment
Shipping:
Prepare and label shipments, coordinate logistics, and ensure timely delivery
Quality Control:
Inspect materials before storage or shipment to ensure they meet quality standards
Documentation:
Complete and maintain accurate records, including shipping manifests, inventory logs, and delivery receipts
Safety:
Follow all safety protocols to maintain a safe and efficient work environment
Physical Requirements:
Safely lift up to 50 lbs regularly and more with assistance
Your Background:
What kind of person thrives in this role? You should have: Previous experience in warehouse, logistics, or material handling (construction or mechanical environments preferred) Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment (or willingness to learn) A strong understanding of inventory management practices, including cycle counts and organization The ability to read work orders, packing slips, and shipping documents with accuracy Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and documentation And everyone you work with should describe you as: Highly organized and detail-oriented
