Job Description

Role Qualifications :
Must be able to perform duties associated with Warehouse Worker Level-2 job description and assist the Lead in improving working conditions (safety, quality, efficiency, and productivity).
Position Summary:
A Warehouse Worker-2 is responsible for many warehouse functions including preparing orders for shipment, replenishing stock, accurately labeling and staging orders. Will assist with loading/unloading freight and storing products. The position requires a strong work ethic, self-motivation, efficiency, and safe in equipment and tool operation.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs and assists with stock checks, staging, shipping, product storage, stacking, packaging, organizing, and assembly of products, parts, or custom orders. Must wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) at all times, hearing protection, vision protection, steel-toed shoes, and other appropriate protective clothing and adhere to all company safety policies. Responsible for completing work assignments or tasks according to the predetermined time level established by the scheduling department or lead/supervisor to meet production goals. Self-Increase on product knowledge; make an effort to understand what the products you are handling are used for. While handling, continually inspects products for imperfections and share findings with warehouse leads. Ensure that all steel parts, part bins, bolt bins, and racks are fully stocked. Accurately and timely cut pipes, angles, tubes, or beams on the band saw or ironworker when required or to fill orders. Assist in receiving products or purchased goods checking invoices and storing materials/parts. Responsible for all packages (such as boxes, pallets, and bundles) to be marked and labeled with required job/product info. Greet entering customers or vendors with friendliness and direct them inside to proper personnel. Occasionally operate company vehicles to deliver shipments. Record all necessary information and submit daily reports according to the procedure. Must embrace safety as a core value by following all company policies and procedures. He/She needs to have a good work ethic, can adjust to change, and be a role model to others. Qualification/Requirements:
Preferred education, a high school diploma or GED or equivalent highly desired. Must be able to read and decipher job order forms. Must have a minimum of 2 years of warehouse work experience preferably with steel knowledge. Must be able to communicate and have good oral/written communication skills. Ability to think creatively and adapt well to change, manage stress without negatively affecting work quality or professional demeanor. Must have basic math skills, basic computer skills, be able to read a tape measure, and use other measuring devices. Able to remember where items are stored to locate parts quickly. Able to associate names/ numbers to parts/items. Must assist others in needed tasks and contribute to the team effort and ability to work unsupervised. Must have knowledge of various shop/power tools and able to operate them in a safe manner. Have good time management skills, able to prioritize multiple tasks successfully in a fast-paced environment. Must be punctual and have excellent attendance, be able to work at least 40 hours per week, be available to work overtime when necessary. Must be able to pass forklift certification and operate forklifts in a safe manner un-supervised and have a valid ODL. Physical Requirements This position requires Squat/kneel, bend/stoop, crawl, twist/turn, grasp, push, reach overhead, and outward frequently. Also requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on regular basis and stand or walk up to 10 hours per day. Occasionally work outside in various weather conditions and work near moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, and moderate to high noise levels.
