Job Description

About Second Harvest At Second Harvest, we believe good food should not go to waste when people in our communities are facing hunger. We work with donors, volunteers, and partner agencies to move food quickly and safely to the people who need it. This is hands-on, physical, fast-moving work. It matters every day. We're looking for a dependable CDL Class A Driver who works safely, takes pride in serving the community, and wants to be part of a strong team. Our drivers spend time independently on the road, but they are also an important part of our warehouse and distribution team. We help each other, communicate well, and pitch in wherever needed. About the Role This full-time position is based out of our Pasco branch. Our drivers pick up donated food, deliver food to agency partners, transfer product between Second Harvest locations, and help keep warehouse operations moving. This is not a driving-only job. Drivers are responsible for loading and unloading their own trucks and helping in the warehouse when they are not on routes.
The work includes:
Driving regional routes throughout Eastern Washington and North Idaho. Operating tractor trailers, straight trucks, and cargo vans. Picking up and delivering food safely and professionally. Loading and unloading trucks using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment. Helping with receiving, agency loading, staging product, inventory organization, cleaning, and general warehouse support. Representing Second Harvest well with donors, agency partners, volunteers, and team members. Following DOT, food safety, warehouse safety, and Second Harvest procedures. This role is a good fit for someone who enjoys driving but also understands that the job does not stop when the truck is parked. You will be part of a team that works together to move food safely, solve problems, and serve the community well. What We're Looking For The right person for this role is reliable, safety-minded, and comfortable working as part of a team. This position involves regular manual labor, including lifting, loading, unloading, and moving donated goods throughout the day. You do not mind manual labor, you communicate well, and you understand that good customer service matters whether you are on the road, at a donor site, or in the warehouse.
Required:
Valid CDL Class A license. Valid DOT medical card. Aside from long drives, the ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis, stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the workday. Willingness to load and unload trucks and perform hands-on warehouse work. Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening in compliance with federal law and regulations.
Preferred:
At least two years of CDL Class A driving experience. Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment. Experience in food distribution, warehouse operations, delivery, or logistics. To Apply Apply through Indeed and include your resume. Include a short note about your driving, warehouse, delivery, or team-based work experience is appreciated. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until the position is filled.
