Warehouse Operator Location:
Richland, Mississippi, USA Rate :
15-20/hr
Duration:
3 month contract (with potential extension)
Schedule:
Full-time, 40 hours per week (Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM) Job Overview We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Operator to support day-to-day warehouse operations in a fast-paced distribution environment. This temporary role is covering a leave of absence and may lead to extension or full-time employment. Key Responsibilities Perform warehouse tasks including picking, packing, auditing, loading, replenishment, cycle counting, and receiving/put-away Operate material handling equipment safely and maintain certification Assist with inventory control and order processing Build crates and support basic assembly tasks Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Communicate effectively with supervisors, coordinators, and team members to resolve issues Report equipment, inventory, or process concerns promptly Meet productivity targets and follow established procedures Perform additional duties as assigned Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Minimum 3 years of material handling experience At least 1 year of experience in a high-volume warehouse or distribution center Hands-on experience operating equipment such as: Stand-up dock trucks Order/stock pickers Sit-down forklifts Tugger, cart, or walkie rider equipment Basic computer skills, including experience with warehouse management systems Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail and teamwork skills Preferred Qualifications Experience with warehouse management systems (e.g., SAP or similar platforms) 2-3 years of direct operations experience in a warehouse setting With over 90 years' combined experience, NES Fircroft (NES) is proud to be the world's leading engineering staffing provider spanning the Oil & Gas, Power & Renewables, Chemicals, Construction & Infrastructure, Life Sciences, Mining and Manufacturing sectors worldwide.
