Job Purpose:

Processes returned goods by receiving; inspecting; making dispositions.

Duties:

• Receives returned goods by unpacking goods; verifying bills of lading.
• Verifies customer's reasons for return by studying accompanying correspondence; inspecting goods.
• Determines disposition of returns by assessing damage and defects.
• Disposes of goods by routing to inventory, salvage, or repair.
• Documents returned-goods information by entering return data into order-tracking system.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Provides returned-goods information by answering questions and requests.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
