Job Description

Primary Function The Material Handler is responsible for transferring items to the assembly lines to increase efficiency of production. Provide any materials for the operators. Operates electric powered industrial truck equipped with lifting devices such as forklift to move products or materials. Unloads incoming products. Loads outgoing products. Checks physical inventory to packing slips. Organizes stock and restocks.
Pay:
Starting at $21.01/hr with the opportunity to be at $23.34/hr after step increases throughout the first 12 months. Responsibilities Pulls materials to the assembly station as needed for production. Returns the empty totes to warehouse. Replenish warehouse with new stock, keeping oldest stock in front. Bring Literature packages to the workstations as needed for production. Responsible for maintaining organized, identified racks, and staging areas. Responsible for communication with supervisor and leaders of potential parts shortages, or overages for manufactured items. Assist with removal of dunnage such as cardboard, pallets and trash. Assist with daily cycle counts and inventory control in production areas. Read work orders, production schedules, or follow oral instructions to determine materials needed. Attach identifying tags or labels to materials or mark information on racks as needed. Responsible for overall shop cleanliness and appearance. Responsible for following general safe work practices. Responsible for maintaining equipment and completing work order request to correct issues. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Basic computer knowledge and navigation is helpful. Must have a valid state driver's license and the aptitude to obtain a company forklift license prior to performing forklift duties. Excellent communication skills via written and oral. Promotes a safe and organized work area. High School Diploma or GED Minimum of 6 months related work experience. Education High School Diploma or GEDPhysical Requirements Prolonged periods of sitting/standing and frequent bending and reaching.
