Job Description

Gilman Cheese Corporation is hiring two Dock Workers to unload incoming product, load outgoing product, and keep production lines supplied with raw material while following all safety and quality policies and procedures. Team members work Monday through Thursday from 5:15 A.M. until about 3:30 P.M. (1st Shift). Fridays are required based on business needs (typically every other Friday). Starting pay rate is $20.25/hr. and you are eligible for a $.50/hr. increase after 90 days of employment. New hires are eligible for a $500 bonus after (3) months of employment and a second bonus of $500 after (6) months of employment!
Duties/Responsibilities:
Ensure production lines are supplied with blocks of cutting cheese and other raw materials Unload incoming product per standard operating procedure (SOP) Load outgoing product per SOP Stack down block from the previous day of cooking operation Organize customer orders for shipping Maintain a clean work area Inspect movers/lifts daily and accurately complete documentation
Tools/Equipment Used:
Pallet movers, aisle stackers, pallet wrapper Comply with all Quality and Safety policies and procedures
Education and Experience:
A minimum of six (6) months of related work experience or training is preferred
Required Skills/Abilities:
Ability to follow instructions and work well as part of a team Basic math, English, and computer skills are required The position involves continuous standing, walking, occasional bending, and seldom climbing. The position requires lifting 25 lbs. frequently with occasional lifting/carrying of objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
