From the moment you're hired, to the day you retire, you're a part of our Bassett Mechanical Team. Position Purpose Unload inbound shipments and load outbound shipments. Put materials away in their designated location. Assist with receiving when needed. Position Responsibilities Enter incoming material into the system. Label and move incoming materials to their designated locations. Unload inbound semi-trucks and stage for receiving. Load and have driver sign all BOL's for shipments. File paperwork in Signed BOL file. Notify Manager on damaged inbound shipments. Pictures must be taken, and BOL must be signed as damaged. Scan and file all packing slips and shipper's paperwork electronically per policy. Send returns back to vendor and update SharePoint. Put away Kanban materials to designated locations. Review the incoming material shelves and for material over 90 days past receipt contact the requester to determine disposition of package. Assist department with metrics and spreadsheets as needed related to projects, lean events, department goals, etc. Support and maintain a safe and Lean working environment. 6S duties. Other duties as assigned. Summary of Skills, Knowledge and Abilities 0 - 3 years of experience in a related role. High School Diploma or equivalent, required. 2 years of forklift driving experience preferred. Good organizational skills with proven ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently. Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness and monitors own work to ensure quality. Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner. Able to gather and analyze information effectively. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Excellent customer service skills, with both internal and external customers. Basic skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat. Position may require ability to access job sites; including climbing, crawling, and kneeling. Ability to lift up to 50lbs. Direct Reports None
