Manitowoc, WI Description / Scope / Mission Operate various material handling equipment in the movement of raw materials, finished goods and miscellaneous items. Key Responsibilities/ Accountabilities Exercise good safety practices to prevent accidents to self, others and facilities, and report unsafe conditions to the Production Coordinator. Receive, transport and store materials following established methods and procedures for stock location, rotation and identification. This task will involve unloading trailer and use of the computer system. Stock Production with components following established methods and procedures. Check for correct identity, quantity and appearance of materials, components, supplies and products. Prepare complete and accurate records as required. Miscellaneous duties as assigned by supervisor.

Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less). Distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more). Color vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors). Education / Certification

/ Qualifications / Experience High school diploma or equivalent experience

Experience:

Some warehouse/Power Industrial Truck (PIT) experience a plus. Basic computer skills and math skills. Read, write and speak basic English language

LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED

Forklift Certification or obtain upon hire.

Specific Knowledge:

TOOLS/EQUIPMENT USED

Forklift 2/3 and more of the time. Computer, scale and drum handlers up to 1/3 of the time.

WORK ENVIRONMENT/PPE REQUIRED

Exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals up to 1/3 of the time. Exposure to fumes or airborne particles 1/3 to 2/3 of the time. Loud noise. Safety (steel-toe) shoes required. Safety glasses required.
