Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY
The Specialist 2, Warehouse Operations receives, dispatches, and contributes to the management of the warehouse stock and oversees and administers distribution operations. Required to check documents on incoming stock and reconcile inventory in the warehouse. This role will distribute customer offers to warehouse personnel for picking & shipping and handle communication between freight companies and warehouse customer.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Process Shipping/Receiving transactions through the computer system ( Manually; EDI; Bar-Coding; SAP.) Follow-up on deliveries, order status, and other inventory related transactions and procedures Provide any necessary coordination with freight companies regarding shipments or claims Maintain strong accuracy and product control for all purchased and stocked products ( includes cycle counting) Independently audit counts and product locations to ensure compliance with policies and procedures as directed by the Warehouse manager Review packaging slip against product received from vendor to ensure accuracy of shipment Work with Service, Purchasing, and Shipping/Receiving personnel to update re-order points/re-order quantities, warehouse locations, part information etc. Recommend process improvement and efficiencies within the department & Company Back-up other staff when needed Assist with inventory/receiving/shipping grounds & small parts, tasks in other departments as dictated by work demand Maintain a safe, orderly, & clean workspace Ordering Internal supplies Keeping a clean orderly workstation & assist in the overall warehouse cleanliness Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards. Leverage the core values and culture to drive accountability and engagement. Represent high level of ethical, intellectual, professional, and personal values that complement the team. Promote cooperation within the team and between teams. Additional responsibilities and projects as may be assigned relevant to the position
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES
High School Diploma or Equivalent required Associate degree in Materials Management or Operations or equivalent work experience preferred Minimum one year of related experience preferred Forklift experience preferred
EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES
Must have excellent attention to detail and strong analytical abilities Ability to perform basic mathematics, including percentages and fractions as well as the ability to use a calculator Ability to perform accurate data entry to databases or spreadsheets Must have intermediate computer skills including all functions using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook Ability to learn/use purchasing and inventory management systems Ability to operate warehouse equipment vehicles such as pallet jacks, pickers, etc. Ability to stand, walk and/or sit to perform essential job functions for an 8-hour shift Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Excellent oral communication, written communication, interpersonal, organization, and presentation skills Reasoning and practical problem-solving skills Ability to communicate, interpret, and provide instructions orally and in writing A level-headed and respectful approach to all internal and external customers Demonstrate the desire to grow professionally and willingness to take on new responsibilities as the business evolves.
